GOALIE PROGRAMS UNVEILED!
Puckmasters Marlborough now offers one-on-one goalie training.
May 10, 2004
MARLBOROUGH, MA: After much anticipation, the Puckmasters goalie programs have been released and are now enrolling members. As with all of the Puckmasters Membership programs, sessions will be taught one-on-one and in small groups and will be scheduled at the member?s appointment convenience.
Puckmasters will offer two goalie programs: the Skills Plus, designed for the intermediate player and the Competitive/Travel, designed for the elite level net-minder. Each features a total of 48 skill-specific sessions which can be packaged in bunches of 12, 24 or 48. As with the Puckmasters skating programs, pricing discounts are awarded for those who register for longer Membership terms.
Both programs are designed with a skill progression relative to the ability level of the player. Each begins with fundamental stance technique, however the Skills Plus then moves into Stick, Skate, Pad, and Glove saves whereas the Competitive/Travel Program progresses into more advanced power moves and Butterfly saves. Players can also choose to work with the Puckmasters coaching staff to develop their own individualized program. The Skills Plus program sessions will run for 30 minutes while the Competitive/Travel Program sessions will run for 45 minutes.
Cost for the goalie programs are exactly the same as the skater?s corresponding individual Membership Programs: ranging between $34 and $45 per session depending on the program (Skills Plus vs. Competitive/Travel) and the length of the term (12, 24, or 48 sessions). For more information including detailed skill progression sequence charts, go to the Puckmasters Membership Programs page.
As always, each of the three Puckmasters synthetic ice rinks can be rented for your own individual use at a rate of $100 per hour for the Main rink (68? X 38?), and $40 for both the Goalie (30?X 35?) and Shooting (25? X 30?) rinks. Call (508) 624-9191 for further details.
