Cody carries a straight "A" academic average and has twice been named the Deerfield Tournament Most Valuable Player.
PEARSON BECOMES FIRST TO FINISH COMPETITIVE TRAVEL PLAYER'S PROGRAM!
Stellar student-athlete completes 48 sessions in under a year.

MARLBOROUGH, MA: Millbury?s Cody Pearson, an eighth grader playing for the Griffin Flames of Putnam, CT has recently completed his 48th and final Competitive Travel Player?s training session. He becomes just the second player in Puckmasters Marlborough?s history to complete 48 sessions and the first to the successfully finish this particular program.
Pearson, who plays both wing and center, is now enjoying a five-game goal streak for the Flames. Thus far, he?s netted five goals and added three assists for eight total points in his first eight games. He has also twice been named the Most Valuable Player at the annual Deerfield Tournament.
?Since joining Puckmasters Cody has improved his stride and shooting skills making him a much stronger overall player,? says his mother Fran. ?He continues to put 110% effort into each game and his willingness to put the team above himself makes him a valuable asset to his coaches.?
As a student, Cody holds a straight ?A? average at Millbury Jr./Sr. High School and has been recognized with numerous academic accolades. In addition to hockey Pearson is also a two-year starter at center midfield for Millbury?s JV soccer team. This fall he serves as the team?s Co-Captain. Pearson has also earned Varsity letters for the winter and spring track teams as a seventh grader.
Cody?s future looks bright as he intends to pursue a career as a veterinarian. He currently spends his summers educating the public at local fairs about problems facing today?s farmers and showing short-horn cows in various competitions. For his efforts he has won such prizes as; Top Junior Showman at the Woodstock Fair, Top Overall Showman at the Bolton Fair, and first place at The Big E.
