Puckmasters coach makes several stellar saves in Championship effort.

WORCESTER, MA: Puckmasters Personal Coach Nevin Hamilton, had a stellar performance making 33 saves to lead the Boston Junior Bruins to the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) Championship with an impressive 4-3 win over the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs last night at the Hart Center on the campus of the College of the Holy Cross. For his efforts he was named the game's Most Valuable Player.
"Our MVP all season,? said Junior Bruins Head Coach and General Manager Peter Masters in an interview immediately following the game, ?has been Nevin Hamilton. I thought he played solid tonight, controlling his rebounds and coming up with five or six big-time saves on tricky shots.?
Hamilton, who?ll be headed to the University of Massachusetts at Lowell to play for the River Hawks this fall, made several key stops including one on New Hampshire?s Jason Williams in the final seconds of the game to preserve the win. As of St. Patrick?s Day, he had a .920 save percentage and a 2.02 goals against average to go along with a 25-8-4 overall record. All three marks rank him at the top of the EJHL goalie statistics. Already a three-time EJHL All-Star selection, Nevin was named the League?s Goalie of the Year in 2004.
The win for the Junior Bruins marks the team?s first-ever Championship in three consecutive appearances in the EJHL finals. Also contributing to the effort were fellow Puckmasters team member Casey Russell and Marlborough High School standout Bobby Butler who will be teaching at Puckmasters following graduation and throughout next season.
