Michael Wolfe was a goaltender at Providence College

Marlborough, MA: General Manager and Hockey Director Pat Nugent has announced that Michael Wolfe, a former goaltender for the Men?s Ice Hockey Team at Providence College, has accepted the position of Head Coach and Director of Goalie Programs at Puckmasters of Marlborough.
?We?re extremely excited to have someone with Wolfie?s background joining our staff,? says Nugent. ?His knowledge of the game, coaching ability, and personality will make him a great asset to an already strong Puckmasters team.?
A native of Milford, CT, Wolfe attended Notre Dame Catholic HS in Fairfield where he was a two time All-State Goaltender in 1998 & 1999. Serving as Team Captain in 1999, he backstopped his team to a Division I Connecticut State Championship. He was then honored with the schools ?Outstanding Student-Athlete Award? and in 2005 was inducted into the Student-Athlete Hall of Fame.
After high school, Wolfe played for the Exeter Snowdevils (present day Manchester Jr. Monarchs) of the Eastern Junior Hockey League for two seasons. During his 1999-2000 campaign, he was named to the EJHL All-Star team.
Following juniors, Wolfe was recruited by former Fairfield University Assistant and current Puckmasters Hockey Director, Pat Nugent to play for the Stags of Fairfield University. After two years at Fairfield, Wolfe moved on to Providence College where he graduated in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. In 2005 he was named to the Hockey East All Academic Team and was also awarded the team?s ?Unsung Hero Award?.
At Puckmasters, Wolfe will serve as the primary teaching professional, instructing one-on-one and small group lessons as well as the Director of Goalie Programs.
